Celestial Arts

Celestial Arts Academy (formerly Flying Ballerinas Aerial Arts and Dance Academy) was the first built for purpose aerial arts studio on the Wirral, founded in 2013 by studio owner Toni (cirque_du_celeste). Our Cleveland Street circus school hosts an array of aerial arts and cirque classes on our regular timetable including - Pole, Aerial Hoop, Aerial Hammock/Silks, Aerial Loops/Straps, Heels dance, Flexibility, Contortion as well as regular workshops and 121 sessions covering Corde Lisse, Lollipop, Aerial Chains, Flying Pole and multiple Fire Arts .

Our team of experienced instructors not only have a vast array of professional industry experience under their belts, but hold the highest standards of certifications and qualifications. We pride ourselves on not only hosting the highest standards of tuition within our studio, but also on possessing an intricate understanding of anatomy, rigging and apparatus risk assessment , and a passionate dedication to both supporting students on their journey of progression, and curating a safe and supportive community environment.

Meet

the founder

Studio owner Toni (cirque_du_celeste) is an entertainment industry veteran, with over 20 years professional experience working in TV, film, theatre and corporate and commercial venues. A 10 time UK and European competition title holder in pole dance, Toni has been fortunate enough to train under some of the best pole and circus artists in the world, as well as judging, performing, modelling and guest teaching for dozens of events and organisations. Toni has an intricate understanding of the human body and is extremely passionate in continuing her education in anatomy and how best to apply this knowledge to teaching contortion and the aerial arts.

Toni practises 13 different cirque and aerial disciplines and has mentored multiple students on to highly successful performance careers. Her specialisms include fire artistry, performance weaponry and foot archery. Toni founded Celestial Arts to both share her passion for circus and aerial arts with the world, and to fulfil her dream and professional mission to empower and inspire others to joyfully achieve physical feats they may have previously believed out of their reach.
